Product Overview

KV Electronics Power Factor Correction (PFC) Chokes are high-performance inductors optimized for boost PFC converter topologies. They store and release energy in synchrony with the switching cycle to shape the input current waveform to match the AC mains voltage, achieving power factors above 0.99 and reducing total harmonic distortion (THD) to comply with IEC 61000-3-2.

Available in toroidal, drum core, and capsulated (encapsulated) configurations, KV PFC chokes offer low DCR for minimal conduction losses, high saturation current to prevent core saturation at peak mains current, and excellent thermal performance for continuous operation.
