KV - Joining Thailand Climate Action Conference (TCAC 2023)
The Prime Minister of Thailand presided and gave a keynote speech over the opening of the 2nd meeting of national partners driving towards Thailand's climate change action (Thailand Climate Action Conference: TCAC 2023). The Prime Minister invites Thai people to change their thinking and behavior regarding the production of products and consumption of goods to create environmental sustainability.
A delegate from KV Electronics attended the TCAC 2023 and Sustainability Expo on 6-7 October 2023 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok with the cabinets, ambassadors, international organization leaders, executives of government agencies, private sectors, provincial governors, and business leaders under the conference concept of "Joining power to strengthen immunity against climate change.”
TCAC becomes a platform to create the driving forces for Thailand on the issue of global climate change and to create awareness and engagement of all Thais to work on sustainable development, including to use of renewable and green energies for their business operations.
Thailand's climate change operations at every level and businesses in every sector, are united and work collaboratively towards Thailand's Nationally Determined Contribution (NCD) to succeed in an aim of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2065 and strengthening resilience of the country to deal the global climate change as the commitment Thai government stated intention to the world community.
The results of TCAC 2023 will be published and report the progress to The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and set the upcoming national plans and directions for Thailand with the participation of every industrial sector to be aware of the situation and work together to create a readiness for implementation of strategic actions at every level.
In addition, the results from TCAC 2023 in Thailand will be reported during the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention (COP 28), which is scheduled to take place from 30 November - 12 December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with an expectancy on the conference agenda to drive the issues and actions of energy transition and upgrading the economy towards climate-friendly trade and investment.
